I am a primary school teacher who retrained as a psychologist. I did Teacher Training for Student with Neurodiversity because I needed a way to advocate for neurodiverse students in a better way. It provided many ways in which I can explain and communicate with professionals more effectively in this area. I plan to use this training to work with clients, student, parents and colleagues in a more efficiently. This training will allow me to be better at collecting data and planning effective responses to client's learning needs. I would recommend this training to all teachers.

Our 7 year old son needed some additional support with spelling and has been seeing Jillian for about 9 months. Over this time his spelling has improved immensely. Jillian has also provided support in other ways like using the keyboard and some maths concepts and he always looks forward to his sessions with her.

I work as an Outreach Teacher. I did the neurodiversity training because I deal with a number of students with a range of learning barriers. I enjoyed it because the training has enhanced my understanding of neurodiversity, improved workplace inclusivity, and positively impacted my interactions with neurodiverse individuals. I plan to use this training to assist a particular student and make some changes to my teaching practices.

We've been using Jillian for about a year now and have found her to be wonderful. She has formed a strong connection with our son, and seems to "get him". Our son used to be very reluctant to attend tutoring, but not with Jillian. She's terrific. We're lucky to have her.

The presenter shared from rich experience having worked with children struggling with mathematical concepts. He showed the developmental progressions, encouraged acknowledgement of what children bring, and to ask yourself questions as a teacher as you plan intervention.

Michelle Teacher

I work as an OT in private practise. I have been an OT for 22 years across public and private sectors. I did the course on Dyspraxia/DCD because I was looking for more concrete tools to guide intervention. I also wanted to refresh my knowledge around cooccurrences and other diagnosis to consider. I enjoyed this course as it provided practical tools to guide meaningful goal setting and intervention. I plan on using this training in my intervention with my client group and to further support my assessment process. This training will allow me to be more confident in my support of this client group.

Adrienne Teacher

I benefitted from this course as understanding a students’ learning needs is crucial. Students understand and learn in various ways and the checklist allowed me to identify areas of strength and concern, which in turn, I can bring to the parents attention and customise an ILP.

Breaking down every step so students can grasp concepts and increase their limited cognitive delays and short-term memory sequencing was really helpful. I think also the reminder why we have 2 ears and one mouth as we often forget -less talking and more listening! Another key takeaway for me was the empowerment.

Melissa Teacher

I believe this course will absolutely help my teaching. I just finished the course yesterday, and I am very excited to reference what I have learned in my teaching. The examples provided are easily relatable to students in my class.

Another good video! Lots of sound information and advice. And, again, involving the students, This time in the IEP.A sensible, realistic and pragmatic approach to the IEPs. I should also mention the comprehensive support documents you have supplied throughout the course. Many benefits, especially to busy teachers.
