Section 1
This video explains examples of what anxiety feels and looks like. It delves into child development, peer relations and the core risk phases in childhood. I t shows international research findings, what anxiety looks like in the classroom, and starts with the strategies to help.
The second video discusses anxiety relating to learning challenges such as Dyslexia, ADHD and the co-existing challenges. We hear about student feedback regarding their anxiety around school, for students, parents and teachers. In addition, the risk factors, adverse experiences, parent influence, and many other interesting facts and stories are discussed.
This third video has examples of emotional literacy and masses of strategies for use both at home and at school. It includes ways around pastoral support at schools and in the community for students, parents and teachers. It offers clarification into the understanding of the physical symptoms of anxiety, stress and trauma in childhood.
Part 4 includes a multitude of practical strategies for both home and school to help manage anxiety, feelings, and building an emotional vocabulary. Learn to understand mood, positive and negative feelings, the stages of grief, and key recommendations for support. The links to further resources and downloadable resources are explained.
